Rustic breakfast bar sits within this beautiful Kent kitchen

Bespoke Kitchen Project 53 - Kent

We recently completed a stunning new kitchen in Kent. The spacious and open floor plan creates a seamless connection between the cooking and dining areas, making it the perfect space for entertaining guests.

The centrepiece of this kitchen is a massive island which serves as a breakfast counter, complete with storage and a sink. The client opted for shaker-style cabinets painted in Etruria 326 by Little Greene paired with brushed steel handles, giving the space a timeless and sophisticated look. Carefully crafted cabinets provide ample storage and workspace for cooking, while also creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for entertaining.

However, this project did not come without its challenges. One of the main challenges was a structural pillar in the middle of the space. We worked around this challenge by seamlessly blending the pillar into the island design, creating a unique feature that adds character to the space. Another challenge was a corner in the space, which required a creative solution to maximise storage and functionality. We designed a utilitarian cabinet specifically for this corner, providing additional storage space and enhancing the flow of the kitchen.

The home has a beautiful backyard, perfect for hosting barbecues, relaxing in the sun, or simply enjoying some fresh air. The kitchen has windows that open out onto a counter in the garden, providing a seamless connection between the indoors and outdoors. We ensured the counter facing the garden was kept free of hobs and sinks making entertaining a breeze. This home is available for stays longer than three nights on BloomStays, the property is named Waters Edge, which is apt given it’s unique location perched on the shore.

This project is a testament to our dedication to quality and our ability to create stunning and functional spaces, even in the face of challenging circumstances. With its unique features and timeless design, this kitchen is sure to impress for years to come. Get in touch with us for a free design consultation!
