Sliding Barn Door: How to Order?

We’re here to guide you step by step how to order both your sliding barn door and sliding steel trackWe will first start with the door and then the take you through the steel track. 3. Timber Finish: Four finishes to choose from

1. Barn Door Size

All our barn doors are made bespoke to size. As a general guide we advise you to leave at least 40mm around your opening. If you have architrave around the opening which needs to be covered once the door is closed please take this in to consideration. Note that all our doors are finished to a thickness of 44mm.

2. Grain Direction

Choose which direction you would like the door timber to flow. Either horizontal or vertical. Please note if you are getting a pair of double doors the grain will not run though.

3. Timber Finish

We’ve hand picked four reclaimed timber finishes from our stock in our Yorkshire woodyard. Which one complements your project? We have Heritage Oak, Barn Oak, Silver Spruce or Brown Spruce to choose from. As standard all sliding doors are lipped with the selected reclaimed timber and finished flat on front and back

1. Rail Length

All our sliding rails are made bespoke to size. As a general guide we advise you to double the width of you sliding door. All rails are pre drilled for mounting. Don’t forget to let us know the thickness of any skirting or architrave the door needs to pass when ordering.

2. Wheels

Wheels! We just need to know how many you need. Usually it’s two on a single door, four on a pair of doors. If your door is larger than 1200 wide, three may look more balanced.

3.Steel Finish

Trying to match you handles with our steel tracks shouldn’t be a problem as we’ve got four fantastic finishes to choose from. We have Raw, Matt Black, Rusted, or Oiled.
