The Cobham kitchen is in a wood clad cottage set in a beautiful quaint forest, surrounded by nature, this kitchen really embraces its organic surroundings. The owners of this beautiful property are a couple with their two children, who are passionate about Scandinavian and industrial styles and designs. With a focus on Nordic design Caroline and Stewart were very clear of the kind of aesthetic they wanted to achieve in their dream kitchen and dining area whilst retaining as many of the original features of the cottage as possible.
This bespoke kitchen project features a contrast of raw, oiled reclaimed timbers with Lamp Grey painted cupboards and smooth off-white ‘Westminster white’ quartz, creating a really simple but stylish look. Through the combination of rustic reclaimed materials, smooth ceramics and traditional farmhouse brassware we helped create a classic Nordic style interior scheme.
The raw reclaimed pine cabinetry is the focus for this stunningly bright kitchen. With each piece revealing its own unique character and markings, the Cobham kitchen embraces the beauty of the natural wood. The natural wood finish offers a raw industrial look.
To compliment both the traditional interior scheme and home owner’s culinary skills, we included a bespoke hand-forged Lacanche range cooker in this stunning Cobham kitchen.
This bespoke kitchen was to remain sympathetic to the unusual style of the cottage, with each room being on a different level. The bespoke corner larder makes the most of the awkward space next to the stairs with built-in drawers and floor-to-ceiling shelving.
The charming industrial wall lever lamps and brass latch locks in this contemporary kitchen add a sense of vintage ambience against the sumptuous dark painted cabinets and smooth quartz surface.
The Main Company also provided the brushed silver barn board cladding for the bathroom to the cottage. The bathroom is surrounded in wood, reflecting the exterior of the cottage, creating a Nordic cabin feel to this interior.
