Located in the beautiful setting of Newark, this stunning new build property has been carefully designed throughout. With high ceilings and bright living space, this is one of our favourite kitchens that we have worked on.
At first glance, the kitchen comprises absolutely everything that we are passionate about at The Main Company. Rustic and natural features can be found in abundance, from the concrete effect large floor tiles, to the exposed wood within the cabinetry to the exposed brick and even to the textured finish of the walls – this kitchen epitomizes rustic charm.
Our designers worked closely with the homeowners to create their ideal space. The kitchen Is at the heart of any family home and it was important to create a space that was not only functional, but was the perfect place to sit and reflect on the day gone by or on other days, to entertain guests.
Finished with Little Greene Company paint, the bespoke shaker style cabinetry offers ample storage using a combination of lower units and then floor to ceiling cabinetry. To complement the Reclaimed Pinewood Douglas Fir flooring used within the bedrooms, we incorporated this into the kitchen using exposed wood accents such as the wine storage area and ladder, as well as introducing a set of drawers next to the oven; this was the perfect way to tie various elements of the property together.
Although this kitchen is traditional in its appearance, there’s a whole host of modern and luxurious features, such as the large American style fridge/freezer, hidden extractor fan, wine cooler, and mirrored splashback.
Not only did The Main Company supply flooring and the fabulous kitchen for this stunning property, we also created a wonderful pantry area as well as some bespoke built-in furniture for the entrance areas including cupboards, benches, and storage for coats and shoes, these were finished again using Little Greene Company paints.
