It is always a pleasure to be involved in a project that embraces the natural beauty of materials. We created a bespoke kitchen for the transformation of this modern detached bungalow into a contemporary, Scandinavian inspired design.
In keeping with the renovation plans and style of the rest of the property, a minimal, clean aesthetic, we created this fabulous Scandi styled kitchen for this creative family home. The new bespoke kitchen is a mix of everything that our client is passionate about, a culmination of good taste, artistic flair and modern innovation.
The central island creates a centre point to this open-plan kitchen and living area. In this busy family home the island creates a place for everyone to gather, relax, or enjoy a quick breakfast before the day ahead. Crafted to suit our client’s needs, the island prioritises storage solutions and comfort, with a space made for kitchen stools to sit at the island.
This bespoke kitchen is all about the texture. Our client had a specific vision for their kitchen, with an emphasis on texture and colour. We provided a clean palette, with minimal details, following their exciting Scandi vision and aesthetic. The subtle textures and tonal contrasts within the birch plywood create a stunning organic subtle pattern within the cabinetry. The ply is combined with a polished concrete worktop which really completes this Scandi, raw style. The dark stainless steel taps and sleek black Samsung fridge freezer add darker depths to this bright, clean kitchen.
The handcrafted cabinetry is really substantial yet elegant, they are solid wood and beautifully made inside and out, with an overriding beauty in the texture of the birch ply. Made up of multiple tailor-made storage options the kitchen cabinetry has large pull-out drawers, two tall larders and narrow double door cupboards fitted perfectly around the microwave and oven unit.
The finishing touches are well executed in this stunning innovative space. Pretty plants, ceramics, lamps and quirky objects and furniture embellish the unique style of this bespoke kitchen.
