Located in the beautiful market town of Northallerton, rich farmlands surround this Old Coach House. The Main Company supplied a fabulous kitchen as part of the renovation of an outbuilding on a stunning family estate. The owner of this former coach house, undertook a complete conversion of the Georgian structure, creating a stunning home with open-plan living space and the addition of a mezzanine level. Original features such as beams and steel supports were retained to add to the character of the space, contrasted beautifully by the blue hues and rustic reclaimed materials throughout the property.
The central hub of this home is the bespoke Shaker kitchen, overlooking the living area complete with bi-folding doors opening to the garden. The kitchen comprises of a combination of traditional kitchen units and modern open plan shelving. The cabinetry has been painted using Farrow & Ball’s stunning Chinese Blue and Pointing. On the walls, as an alternative to paint, the homeowner used a clay plaster finish in a smooth, matte white colour, for a simple yet warm backdrop, adding to the relaxed feel of the space.
The kitchen cabinets were topped with Westminster White quartz worktop, with the owner contrasting this by selecting a zinc worktop for the island.
