Commercial Project 22 - Hopi Cabin, Cove Valley

Bringing Nature to Life: The Hopi Cabin Project in Cove Valley

We are thrilled to present the Hopi Cabin located in Cove Valley, Exe Valley, on the edge of the picturesque Exmoor National Park. The Hopi Cabin is nestled within a sprawling 130-acre reserve, where nature is allowed to flourish and restore itself organically. In collaboration with HÁM Interiors, we had the privilege of providing our locally sourced, reclaimed weathered barn oak for the flooring and our exquisite silver spruce for the cladding. This cabin not only reflects our commitment to sustainable design but also showcases the timeless beauty of hand-finished wood from our Yorkshire workshop.

The Hopi Cabin is more than just a dwelling; it’s a retreat that embraces the essence of nature. Situated in the heart of Cove Valley, surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of Exe Valley and the tranquillity of Exmoor National Park, this property was meticulously designed to coexist harmoniously with its natural surroundings. In this serene haven, the beauty of the environment takes centre stage, and the architecture is seamlessly integrated to enhance the inherent allure of the area.

For this unique project, we were fortunate to collaborate with the esteemed HÁM Interiors, renowned for their vision of creating spaces that embody both elegance and sustainability. Together, we strived to design a cabin that not only brought nature back to life but also provided a luxurious and comfortable experience for its dwellers.

The foundation of the Hopi Cabin’s interior is our reclaimed weathered barn oak flooring. Each plank tells a story of its own, bearing the marks of time and history. Sourced locally, these reclaimed oak boards have been carefully salvaged, giving new life to wood that otherwise would have gone to waste. The rustic charm and character of the flooring perfectly complement the surrounding landscape, creating a seamless transition between the indoor and outdoor spaces. To embrace the cabin’s exterior with natural beauty, we selected our silver spruce cladding. Sourced from sustainable forests and meticulously hand-finished in our Yorkshire workshop, the cladding exudes a subtle elegance that harmonizes with the surrounding wilderness. The silver spruce complements the rugged terrain, infusing the cabin with a touch of contemporary design while maintaining its connection with nature.

The Hopi Cabin at Cove Valley is an embodiment of our passion for sustainable design and reverence for the environment. Set amidst the unspoiled beauty of Exe Valley and Exmoor National Park, this sanctuary stands as a testament to the importance of letting nature flourish and restore itself. We are immensely proud to have collaborated with HAM Interiors and provided our hand-finished wood from Yorkshire. This project marks another milestone in our journey towards creating spaces where nature and architecture coexist in perfect harmony.
