Set in the breath-taking, tumbling hills of the Yorkshire Dales, surrounded by dry stone walls, hay meadows and moorland, Pool House is a stunning converted barn that has undertaken a complete regeneration and interior design. The barn has been transformed into an incredible, contemporary Pool House.
Located in the magnificent rural town of Skipton, the remarkable conversion boasts a host of luxurious features and even its own private lake. The building comprises of an outdoor hot tub, games area, pool, home office and gym and the owners wanted to create a space that all the family could enjoy.
The property has a rustic and warm charm that the designers wanted to maintain, yet enhance the kind of original, characterful features you would expect to find in a barn. Known for our high-quality materials, we are proud to have supplied Design Emporium with our Brushed Silver Barn Board to use for this project. Design Emporium have paired the oak beautifully with glass, concrete and deep copper cladding, creating the perfect balance of old meets new. Our Brushed Silver Barn Board Cladding was the perfect ceiling clad for this space and has created a magnificent focal point.
This stunning project boldly uses our wood cladding throughout, the silver and light brown tones offer an earthy feel and create the perfect focal point for the space. The cladding has been further complemented by the pool tiles, creating a floor to ceiling reflection that certainly offers the wow factor. The spruce lends itself perfectly to the surroundings of the Dales too, creating the perfect feature wall for the home office, framing the adjoining impressive views.
Salvaged from old agricultural barns across Europe, all our wood has been carefully sourced and repurposed, making it a highly sustainable choice. Each and every plank has been meticulously hand-crafted and dried in the kiln, at our family-run workshop located between the historic city of York and Spa Town of Harrogate. The wood has been finished to the highest of standards, creating a stable and durable product that will stand the test of time for years to come.
