This beautiful five-bedroom, Edwardian Townhouse is located in the picturesque town of Harrogate, just a stone’s throw away from The Main Company’s family run workshop in Green Hammerton.
This industrial style kitchen was part of the renovation and extension of the Townhouse. The kitchen is the heart of the home, and it was important to the homeowners that the kitchen gave them a central place to spend time together as a family, as well as being bright and airy. We worked closely with the family, bringing to life their wish of industrial meets traditional, something that has been considered at every stage of planning and then bringing those plans to life.
The space we had to work with was large, bright, and airy and benefitted from exposed brick, further adding to the industrial feel of the room. Every detail was considered by the homeowners and The Main Company, we worked together to integrate appliances such as the Kohler sink and a wine cooler, to name a few. The industrial style has been mixed with more traditional features to complement the style of the property.
This kitchen definitely has the ‘wow factor’, great attention has been paid to every last detail. From original factory lights to the stainless steel splashback. The bespoke painted tulipwood units with solid oak interiors have been teamed with a mix of stainless steel and reclaimed oak worktops to create a vintage industrial look. The homeowners went for a variety of units, from drawers to glass front cabinets for displaying glassware. The cabinets have been finished with light and dark paint from The Little Greene Company, yet the exposed brick creates a warm and homely feel. As they had plenty of cupboard space, instead of traditional wall units, the homeowners opted for some reclaimed open shelves, that have been perfectly styled.
One thing we love about this kitchen is its personality. It captures everything that the homeowners wanted to achieve and has been beautifully styled. The room really does act as the central point of the home and there’s even a chalkboard wall where the homeowner’s young twins can express themselves too!
