Archer Street SW11 is one of the newest additions to South West London. We worked closely with the designers to bring to life their vision. The brief we were given was ‘the feel of a members bar, without the membership’ and that is exactly what was delivered.
The bar is set over two floors that look completely different. The first floor is a cocktail bar and the lower ground floor is a themed bar. Après-ski type environments were the inspiration for the themed bar, and you would be forgiven for thinking you were somewhere in the Alps rather than central London! Rustic and textured wood features throughout, paired with faux furs, sheepskins and leathers.
Our Project Manager and Designer worked closely with the team to envisage and deliver and alpine-style environment, choosing the right wood for the aesthetic. Our Silver Barn Board cladding was the perfect choice for this space, like you would find in the Alps, the planks have been beautifully weathered creating striking silver and grey colourations. The planks have been left unfinished, adding to the natural and textured finish of the space. Each plank has been sourced from agricultural buildings before being painstakingly restored, creating this wonderful end product. The Silver Barn Board has been perfectly contrasted by our Engineered Distressed Oak that has been used in a number of areas, creating wonderful focal points throughout the space. For the flooring we used our Distressed Smoked Brown Engineered flooring, this added warmth to the space and created a durable surface, ideal for a busy bar space.
Here at The Main Company we thoroughly enjoy working with clients and helping their creative visions come to life. We think Archer Street looks outstanding and are proud to have worked on this project.
