Steeped in British Heritage, Belstaff is an international brand with stores in iconic and affluent locations such as Regent Street and New York. Spitalfields is a lively East End area, home to artists and creatives and the area is well known for street art and quirky stores.
Belstaff wanted their new retail space to showcase their community first approach, with their goal being to create an immersive and interactive experience. As well as feeling relaxed and at home, they wanted to inspire their staff and customers with a space full of character, personality and the craftsmanship you would expect from the brand.
In a retail space, it’s important to complement the clothing rather than overpower it, and our Designer and Project Manager worked tirelessly with Belstaff to create a setting that complemented their clothing and reinforced their timeless and classic brand and values.
Obviously, retail spaces attract a large foot fall so it was important to use a material that could withstand the traffic entering and exiting the shop, especially in such a prominent area of London. Our Reclaimed Engineered Weathered Barn Flooring encompassed everything Belstaff wanted to achieve. The earthy brown and silvery tones provided the perfect base to show case and complement the high end Belstaff products. The subtle tones are further enhanced by the interiors of the store, exposed brick work, Aztec and jute rugs combined with deep leathers, perfectly enhance the patina and colours of the wood and are further accompanied by industrial style railings, finishing off the look.
Our Weathered Barn Oak adds an abundance of character to any space, each and every plank has been salvaged from old European agricultural barns and has been painstakingly restored, offering a truly unique and bespoke product. The planks were supplied and fitted in a variety of widths and lengths adding to the personality of the space. We are incredibly proud of this project and are confident our wooden flooring creates the perfect base for the store.
