A sanctuary for beauty, ethics and wellness, Kalon Parlour is a luxury sanctuary where guests can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and everyday life and maintain their beauty and wellness needs, in the beautiful area of Fitzrovia, London.
Kalon means ‘beautiful thing’ and the surroundings of this project were incredibly important. This needed to be a space where guests could relax, as well as feeling balanced. Kalon Parlour is described as a sanctuary of nature and rejuvenation, and all treatments can be enjoyed in the stunning surroundings.
In this modern day age, aesthetics are just as important as the services offered and Kalon Parlour got in touch with Main Company to build bespoke cabinetry for the sanctuary. The Instagram-worthy space boasts stunning herringbone flooring, reception area with acoustic paneling and characterful finishing touches.
The nature element meant that a combination of materials have been used throughout the space, from marbles to metals, and greenery to wood. The quirky arch alcoves were the perfect home for cabinets and shelving, and Kalon Parlour chose a rich oak paired with brass and granite, giving it a real luxurious, members only feel.
The exposed shelving was perfect for displays, with plenty of storage space for less aesthetically pleasing items. The rich patina and oak of the cabinets matched the acoustic paneling and cupboards, creating a space that flows from room-to-room perfectly.
Topped with marble, the cabinets have all been finished with small dainty brass handles that add a modern touch and ties into the other metal accents in the space.
The Main Company worked with Kalon Parlour to really get the most out of the available space, and our expertise and craftsmanship means we use only the best materials, which is ideal for the footfall of commercial projects. The rich oak has been carefully hand sourced and enhanced, with it lasting for many years to come.
