London based kitchen design by The Main Company

Bespoke Kitchen Project 57 - Shad Thames

A remarkable kitchen project that combines style, functionality, and panoramic views in the heart of Central London’s vibrant cityscape. Nestled within a stunning new build, this kitchen design project redefines modern living in an urban oasis. Situated in a high-rise with awe-inspiring views of the Thames

Embracing the limited space while addressing storage concerns posed substantial challenges for our team. The task was to create an interior that maximized every inch while maintaining an uncluttered, open feel that allowed the scenic beauty to shine through.

The kitchen’s aesthetic centres around a harmonious interplay of contrasting elements. Dark, exquisite cabinets painted in the captivating shade “Lamp Black 228” from Little Greene establish a sense of depth and sophistication. These cabinets are artfully juxtaposed with a light stone “Calafata Nuvo” countertop from Caesarstone creating a visually captivating balance that plays with light and shadow.

The kitchen’s floor plan was meticulously designed to optimize functionality and flow. A single wall kitchen layout is augmented by a generously-sized multitasking island. This island takes centre stage, offering an array of functionalities that seamlessly merge culinary needs and social engagement. Housing the sleek Bora induction hob and exhaust system, the island is a testament to modern innovation.

The island doesn’t just stop at culinary functionality. It effortlessly combines storage solutions, accommodating everything from pots and pans to pantry essentials. At the island’s end, a thoughtfully incorporated breakfast bar welcomes morning conversations and casual dining, effortlessly connecting the culinary space with the dining area.

To add an extra layer of elegance, we’ve chosen minimal dark smoked bronze handles from Buster and Punch for the cabinets. These handles evoke a sense of tactile luxury and serve as the perfect finishing touch to the kitchen’s refined aesthetics.

The true star of this project is undoubtedly the panoramic view of the Thames. Our design approach aimed to frame this natural wonder, allowing it to seamlessly become a part of the interior. Expansive windows ensure that every moment spent in this kitchen is a visual delight, harmonizing the interior with its remarkable surroundings.

This kitchen design project in Central London stands as a testament to the power of thoughtful design. With a careful balance of elements, functionality, and a deep connection to its surroundings, this culinary haven encapsulates contemporary elegance while celebrating the breathtaking views of the Thames. Stay tuned for more inspiration as we continue to unveil more projects!
