Nestled in the heart of Yorkshire, this beautiful home has been transformed to create an envy-inducing yet welcoming home. Back in 2004, the homeowner decided to leave his stressful job as a barrister and set up a business selling reclaimed tiles. Bert and May are well known for their bright encaustic tiles with Mediterranean hues and intricate detailing. This passion for design, pattern, and creativity is showcased throughout this home.
Once referred to as ‘just an ugly house’ the home has been completely renovated, and there is now nothing underwhelming about it, in fact, it is the complete opposite.
The Main Company was delighted to be invited to supply cladding for the home, as well as working with the homeowners to design this quirky and exceptionally stylish kitchen. As you would expect, tiles feature throughout the home and they have been contrasted and complemented by a variety of rich tones, sumptuous wooden cladding, and unique furniture.
The kitchen is a bright and airy room thanks to the high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. The pink and white hexagonal tiles acted as inspiration for the design and style of the kitchen.
Handless oak kitchen cupboards worked beautifully with the tiles, without overpowering them and the black splashback offered the perfect contrast. The homeowners opted for no upper cabinets, creating an almost minimalist Scandinavian feel to the space. Luxurious features help elevate the space, creating the perfect hub of the home, which their daughters and dogs can all enjoy together.
The design team at The Main Company works with you to understand and make the most of your space. Our kitchens are designed and created at our Yorkshire showroom and workshop, before being installed in your home. Not only can we help with your kitchen design and creation, but we can also supply flooring, cladding, furniture, concrete worktops, sinks, and much more.
