Once a run-down bungalow, this picture perfect home has been well and truly transformed. The imposing property stands amongst tumbling countryside, and has been meticulously thought out and designed. Like ourselves, the homeowners are passionate about reclaimed materials, something that is prominent throughout the home. From aged copper accents, to reclaimed spruce, the end result is extraordinary.
As well as designing and installing the exceptional kitchen, The Main Company also supplied the flooring that runs throughout the property, creating an open feel and seamless transition from room to room.
The building boasts characterful features such as exposed brick, wooden beams and industrial interior styling. For the flooring, our Light Mountain Ridge was selected; this was the perfect choice to tie the whole property together.
The planks have been perfectly weathered, combining the original warmer tones with cooler silvery tones, making the planks work equally well with the brickwork and the more modern touches. The flooring also has a Scandinavian feel, adding to the characterful, open-plan feel of the home. The spruce also enhances the rustic feel of the property further thanks to the stunning patina, knots and natural tones and textures of the planks.
Beautifully handcrafted, each and every plank is unique with it’s own markings and tones. The Light Mountain Ridge planks have been dried at our on-site kiln, at our family-run Yorkshire workshop. Once stable, the planks are enhanced and treated, creating a hardwearing and durable surface that will not only stand the test of time, but improve with age too. Our wood flooring is suitable for use throughout your home, from the kitchen to bedrooms, and is compatible with under floor heating too.
