Known for our high-quality, bespoke kitchens, The Main Company has been operating since the seventies and we are passionate about our craft. For this project, we worked with a young family in Surrey, they wanted a bespoke, industrial yet contemporary area that would act as the hub of the home, perfect for a family.
Our Designer and Project Manager created an envy-inducing space, not just a kitchen, but a home bar area, wine cellar, living room units, wardrobes and wall cladding too.
All our materials are carefully sourced and we used the highest quality materials to create this kitchen space, providing a reclaimed engineered mill board for the worktop that has also been utilised for the matching shelves above. The dark aged zinc makes a striking focal point and acts as the splashback, with plenty of space either side for cooking up a culinary delight.
For the cupboards, we used a shade called ‘French Grey’ by Little Greene Paint. This was a fashionable yet classic choice, the light chromatic grey has been contrasted beautifully by another shade named ‘Lamp Black’.
Our Grey Industrial Mill Board cladding creates an impressive feature wall that offers a unique focal point to this kitchen project, the stripped paint offers texture and character in buckets, creating an instant industrial feel for the space. This has been further complemented by the addition of a wood burning stove, creating a cosy snug area. Further along the kitchen is the bar area, this comprises of a reclaimed pine bar top, paired beautifully with quartz and dark painted cabinetry. The innovative shelving is arranged like brickwork, offering a unique and stylish storage feature.
The kitchen really is the heart of the home and here the family can do it all, from sitting in the cosy snug to entertaining guests at their very own bar area. Storage and organisation were also key and this was considered in every aspect of the design. The expanse of the room coupled with the unique, bespoke details ensures the perfect space.
