Surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside the United Kingdom has to offer, The Pool House in Skipton is a truly stunning property. Skipton was voted one of the best places to live in Yorkshire and it’s really not difficult to see why. The picture-perfect gateway to the dales offers breathtaking scenery and there’s even a castle.
This converted barn has been lovingly transformed into a Pool House with no expense spared. The remarkable conversion features its own private lake, outdoor hot tub, games area, pool, home office and a gym.
Whilst transforming the barn, the designers were keen to maintain the original characteristics of the barn. There’s an abundance of natural materials used throughout, from the wooden beams to the copper feature walls. The stunning natural materials have been beautifully contrasted by modern additions such as glass panels.
The Design Emporium approached us to see if we could supply some cladding for the Pool House. Our Brushed Silver Barn Board cladding was the perfect choice for the space. It was used throughout on the ceiling with other materials such as glass, concrete and copper featuring too. The perfect balance of old and new. The cladding creates an outstanding focal point.
The silver and light brown tones of the Brushed Silver Barn Cladding create a textured and earthy feel that is further complemented by the tiles around the pool area. The wood was also used for a feature wall in the home office too, framing the tumbling countryside views perfectly.
The beauty of cladding is that it has so many uses as demonstrated by this stunning Pool House. This cladding has been salvaged from old agricultural barns across Europe, before being carefully handcrafted at our Yorkshire workshop, creating a durable and high-quality cladding.
