Here at The Main Company, we have long been fans of cladding, but over the last 18 months, cladding has become increasingly popular. Cladding can be used in a variety of ways and is ideal for creating focal points within rooms, it can be fitted vertically or horizontally and here at The Main Company, we have many species of wood available, from cooler tones to warm, rich shades.
In this Poppleton home, the owners selected a variety of our reclaimed woods. The cladding was used in various rooms throughout the home, from the home office to the living room. As well as different kinds of woods, different planks were selected. For some rooms, a popular acoustic style cladding was used, whereas in other rooms we used classic brushed weathered mill board cladding in a horizontal formation.
Attention to detail has been afforded through the home and the cladding only further enhances this. The cladding has been complemented by rich and vibrant colours that really make the colourations and patina of the wood stand out.
This stunning home really showcases the different ways that cladding can be used throughout a home. All of our wood has been carefully selected and salvaged, before being enhanced and finished so that it will last for many years to come. Our Yorkshire workshop is just a stone’s throw away from this beautiful home, further reinforcing the sustainability of using raw materials within your home.
