Set in the heart of the picturesque Blackdown Hills, nearby to the Jurassic Coast and rolling hills, The Candlelight Inn provides a stunning setting for some delectable treats and drinks. Exuding warmth and cosiness, this quintessential British Inn has been lovingly refurbished to create a welcoming and memorable space.
Working with the owners at The Candlelight Inn and well-renowned interior designer Sian Parry Jones, The Main Company were delighted to supply cladding for the Inn as part of the project. The Candlelight Inn is set amongst tumbling hills and woodland, and this surrounding natural beauty was used as inspiration for the refurbishment.
Natural textures and raw materials have been used alongside one another, creating a truly stunning space. As with their food and drink, The Candlelight Inn use only the best and highest quality, and this is mirrored throughout the materials, furniture and interior pieces too.
For the refurbishment, our Reclaimed Silver Barn Spruce Cladding was used throughout the Inn. This was the perfect choice to be used alongside the other natural materials such as linens and a feature moss wall, to name a few.
Our Reclaimed Silver Barn Spruce has been salvaged from agricultural barns, and painstakingly restored to create an outstanding cladding. The planks have been perfectly weathered by the sun, rain and wind, creating the silver colour and beautiful patina. The planks have been used as wall cladding, alongside a classic green shade, and neutral palette. To create further interest, a combination of horizontal and vertical formations have been used. Our Reclaimed Silver Barn Spruce adds the perfect touch of rustic and character to this countryside Inn, creating a space that complements the surroundings.
Each and every plank has been restored and enhanced at our Yorkshire workshop. The cladding has been hand dried in our on-site kiln, before our master craftsmen celebrate the natural markings of the wood, enhancing knots, cracks and markings. The natural shine finish is durable, low maintenance and improves as the years go by, perfect for commercial spaces.
