Set in the breath-taking county of Cornwall, sea and rugged landscapes surround this beautiful, partially restored farmhouse. The farmhouse has been painstakingly transformed into a bright and modern holiday home. Two years of work went into the development of this fantastic building. Working closely with the Designer and Project Manager, we had a major role in the transformation, supplying high quality cladding, flooring, furniture and a bespoke kitchen. The holiday home also boasts an annex cottage, complete with Main Company flooring, a smaller kitchen and vanity units.
The owners wanted to create a space that would combine their love of entertaining and dining, making it the perfect escape and place to relax, exactly what you would want from a holiday home. The large and bright area gave us the perfect space to be creative. A timeless shaker kitchen was given some authentic, rustic updates, creating a unique and fabulous space. The large pantry area has been painted in Little Greene’s Basalt Blue, this stunning area comprises of two large pantry cupboards and a housed Fisher & Paykel fridge freezer. The cupboards have been beautifully complemented by the addition of a concrete worktop and reclaimed wood.
The outstanding property has many characterful features such as wooden beams, Cornish stone and exposed brick walls, the kitchen area was carefully designed to blend in seamlessly with the rest of the property and its rural surroundings. There is an abundance of areas to entertain within the kitchen too, the island makes the perfect central point, with its integrated bar area and has been topped with a stunning aged copper worktop.
The blue kitchen cabinetry paired with the reclaimed wood cupboards, creates the perfect sense of dark and moody, contrasted by the lighter tones that run through the space. Oak is a prominent material throughout the property, within the kitchen it has been used for the carcasses and shelving units.
This is continued throughout the property, our Reclaimed Wall Cladding creates a stunning focal point in the entrance hall, within the dining area, bathroom and some of the bedrooms. The Reclaimed Engineered Barn Board covers the walls and flooring in the games room, creating a relaxing, homely environment. Within the bathrooms we provided a selection of bespoke vanity units that were tailor-made, fitting seamlessly within the space, differing from modern painted units to rustic reclaimed oak with marble tops. In the living area, our Reclaimed Weathered Barn Oak Versailles Panels make the perfect flooring, adding the perfect rustic touch to the space, our cladding has also been used within the window to create a seated area, perfect for putting your feet up and enjoying a book.
