Located in the Cathedral city of Chichester, this stunning project has been a pleasure to work on. This nautical inspired property, offers stylish and functional living space, with great attention paid to each and every detail. Rustic, reclaimed materials have been used throughout and the end result is magnificent.
The coastal inspired kitchen has been thoughtfully designed and finished off with nautical touches. The kitchen perfectly captures the blue skies and white sands you expect from the seaside, from the weathered oak flooring to the crisp, light blue used to paint the cabinetry, this kitchen is simply stunning.
As the kitchen space itself is quite narrow, we worked hard to ensure that the homeowners would have plenty of room for storage and that it worked perfectly within the property. The kitchen comprises of a feature wall of cupboards and a built-in island, allowing plenty of space for crockery and appliances. The cabinets have been created using a shiplap style, perfect for the coastal aesthetic of the space, before being finished with Little Greene Company paint and Buster + Punch handles, adding a touch of industrial style chic too.
There’s also an array of features within the kitchen space, including an exposed shelf, perfect for storage and displaying personal items, and even a wine cooler. Great attention to detail has been paid to the finishing touches too; reclaimed driftwood has been installed on the ceiling for the three pendant lights to hang from as well as a wooden backsplash.
It was a pleasure for The Main Company to also lend their expertise to other interior features within the property, including our sliding barn doors, bespoke vanity unit and cladding too. All of our work is created at our Yorkshire workshop, where we work tirelessly to enhance the very best salvaged materials. All wood is hand picked from interesting buildings, before going through a variety of processes to create visually pleasing and durable kitchens and interiors.
We absolutely adore this home and its beach hut style. The rustic materials used, capture the colours and textures off the coast perfectly and the end result is a timeless, beautiful space to enjoy for years to come.
