The Barnes kitchen embraces the urban surroundings of this property. The transformation of the kitchen and range of fantastic materials successfully makes this space an impressive, quirky, modern home, full of character. The use of raw plywood creates such freshness, combined with raw steel and concrete worktops.
This bespoke kitchen has the perfect balance of elegance and boldness. Cut out handles and flat painted base units form a bold contrast to the organic raw beauty of the kitchen units and the fragility of the fluted pantry glass. The smooth painted raw plywood cabinets and drawers make the perfect storage solutions to suit our client’s needs in this stunning Scandi styled kitchen.
The pretty island works beautifully in this space, matching the retro style that surrounds the kitchen area. The light palette of the raw plywood cabinetry makes up the base of the island, combined with open shelving which is a great use of space and storage for our client to showcase some of their possessions, embellishing the character of this interior. The hanging rack completes this island area, made of steel and raw plywood, styled with hanging cups and ivy the rack really gives this kitchen that extra wow factor.
Full of light and space, this is a special kitchen. To add some depth and contrast in this airy, modern space we chose to use a bold dark green paint colour for the units and the main kitchen wall. Painted in Little Greene Paint Company’s Three Farm Green, this colour offers a modern twist to this retro styled kitchen.
Surrounding the kitchen is a gorgeous living area that provides a fun, relaxing atmosphere where friends and family can gather together. Rattan lampshades and furniture are combined with an up-cycled mix match of coloured chairs. The hanging bicycles on the walls exemplify the urban nature of this wonderful kitchen design.
