Upholstered bar stools sit under bespoke dark blue kitchen island

Bespoke Kitchen Project 23 - Guildford

This 1930’s cottage has been renovated into a beautiful house. A project that took 3 years, with every window, door, wall, floor and ceiling replaced; room layouts rearranged, new bathrooms, electrical, central heating and more. The attention to detail and heartache involved in this process, meant a new kitchen had to live up to our client’s dream.

The Guildford kitchen is a shaker style kitchen, painted in the colour Basalt by Little Greene Paint which provides a contrast to the copper, quartz and reclaimed elements featured throughout. The natural texture of the reclaimed pine breakfast bar adds so much rustic charm to this contemporary family kitchen. The Main Company designed and fitted all of the kitchen units, island, the barn door and hidden pantry. This kitchen design mixes dark cabinetry with contrasting Carrara quartz worktops and accents of copper to create a truly spectacular aesthetic.

The appliances are concealed to perfection in this bespoke kitchen, slotted seamlessly into the kitchen’s scheme. The Main Company’s craftsmanship and commitment to using the very best materials allows each and every element to be made to the highest quality.

One of the most impressive elements of this bespoke kitchen has to be the secret walk-in pantry, with antique mirrored glass doors that blend with the theme of the Guildford kitchen. Once you walk in to the pantry, you are welcomed by beautifully crafted oak shelving units. Another highlight is the huge American style Fisher & Paykel fridge which is fitted into a stainless surround so it sits flush within the dark painted cabinetry – creating a sleek, modern bespoke look.

The Guilford kitchen is imbued with so much of The Main Company’s workmanship: mirrored glass is used for the doors to the secret hidden walk in pantry, a bespoke Lacanche range cooker was sourced in white with copper accents, a 3 meter long Carrara quartz island with reclaimed wood and a custom reclaimed sliding door.
