Bespoke kitchen island with 4 grosvenor leather bar stools under solid oak worktop

Bespoke Kitchen Project 8 - Bristol

Traditional with a modern twist, we simply love this contemporary update on a classic, country-style kitchen. Located in the tumbling Yorkshire countryside, this picturesque property was the perfect location for such a lovely kitchen. Part of an ambitious property renovation, the young owners were in the process of connecting the outbuildings to the main part of the house and the kitchen was one of the final missing pieces to the jigsaw.

The Main Company worked closely with the homeowners to provide a kitchen that would be the perfect space for them to spend time with their two children and entertain guests. This is something that is reflected throughout, with quirky features such as a teppanyaki plate, built into the breakfast bar and kitchen island area.

The kitchen is a large, airy space and benefits from plenty of natural light thanks to the floor to ceiling windows in the adjoining conservatory space. Plenty of attention to detail was paid throughout the designing and building of the kitchen. There’s plenty of storage and luxurious features throughout. Including a pop-up knife block, plinth lighting, and eye-catching pantry, ideal for keeping the kitchen clutter-free. There are also gadgets aplenty, from a pull-out granite inset for the steamer to the special hiding holes. Within the drawers, the space has been divided, creating plenty of places for plates and cutlery.

The shaker style cabinetry has been handcrafted using the highest quality oak, before being painted with grey, lilac and blue Little Greene Company paint that works perfectly with the cool undertones of the flooring. The cabinetry has been topped with granite worktops, providing a durable and hardwearing surface for family life. The large kitchen island creates the perfect space for both dining and socialising.

The Main Company have utilised the available space perfectly, creating a very ergonomic kitchen that combines the family’s love of both entertaining and modern gadgets. Located just a stone’s throw away from the beautiful village of Aldwark, our workshop is where we design and manufacture our bespoke kitchens. We are passionate about our craft and use only the highest quality of materials, that are meticulously handcrafted by our master craftsmen.
