Bespoke Kitchen Project 10 - Nun Monkton

This stunning kitchen encompasses everything we are passionate about at The Main Company. At The Main Company, we use the very best in new, salvaged and reclaimed materials to create bespoke kitchens with personality, and that is exactly what we did at this beautiful, countryside home. Voted one of the top 10 idyllic villages in the UK, this stunning family home is set in the beautiful village of Nun Monkton.

The homeowners wanted a new kitchen and we worked closely with them to bring their visions to life. Combining traditional style with organic design, we created a beautiful and bespoke fitted kitchen.

This detached home is brimming with traditional features, and we wanted the kitchen to be sympathetic to those. As you can see, within the kitchen we kept the original Aga and wooden beams and brickwork, contrasting it beautifully with the shaker style cabinets. The cabinets were handcrafted at our Green Hammerton workshop and feature a variety of paneling. The cabinets were given a modern twist and painted using Farrow & Ball’s Downpipe paint, before adding antique nickel handles and thunder white granite worktops.

There’s plenty of storage throughout, including full-length pantry cupboards and the owners also opted for open shelving, where they can add accessories to showcase their personalities.

As well as the kitchen, to complete the look, The Main Company also provided a bespoke solid reclaimed oak flooring and reclaimed pine tabletop, ensuring that the room exudes individual character and continuity throughout. The reclaimed oak flooring works perfectly with the surroundings, and the patina and markings create a rustic feel, perfect for a countryside home.

This kitchen certainly has the wow-factor and we just love the finished result. This high-quality kitchen will last for years to come and creates a space the whole family can enjoy. If you’re thinking of upgrading your kitchen space, get in touch today, and see how The Main Company can help you.
