In the picturesque village of Haxby, we recently had the privilege of designing a bespoke kitchen that perfectly reflects the homeowner’s style and needs. This project was a seamless blend of bold aesthetics, thoughtful functionality, and personalised touches.

The kitchen features sleek black wood cabinets paired with a matching black countertop from Paperstone along with Japanese style handles, creating a dramatic and sophisticated look. This monochromatic scheme is beautifully complemented by green tiles used for the splashback, adding a lively contrast and injecting the space with personality. The result is a design that feels modern and welcoming.

A carefully planned U-shaped layout ensures the kitchen is both efficient and easy to navigate. This arrangement maximises counter space while maintaining an open and inviting flow, perfect for cooking and entertaining. The modern induction cooktop from Fisher and Paykel eliminated the need for a bulky hood, allowing for a more open feel in the kitchen. This thoughtful design choice enhances the sense of spaciousness, maintaining clean lines and ensuring the sleek, contemporary aesthetic remains uninterrupted.

In addition to the U-shape, a single wall stretch was designed to house key elements, including a refrigerator and a charming coffee corner. The coffee station offers a designated spot for quiet morning rituals, while a thoughtfully integrated nook for the family’s beloved pet ensures that everyone, including their furry companion, feels at home in this space.

Beyond the kitchen, we also supplied high-end flooring and cladding for the home. The wood used for the cladding and flooring was Hayloft. These premium finishes add a cohesive and luxurious touch throughout the property, enhancing the overall aesthetic and tying the spaces together beautifully.

This Haxby York project is a perfect example of how bespoke design can transform a space, combining bold choices with tailored details to create a home that feels truly unique. Whether it’s a striking kitchen, a practical layout, or a personalised pet nook, every detail was thoughtfully considered to meet the homeowners’ needs and style.
